The Cost of Gas Installations depends on a number of factors so it is not as easy as giving a price on a car or a Gas Hob. We know that it is important to our clients to have an idea of what their gas installation will cost. To try and help you, we have made a list of the most common types of gas installations. Below are some indications of how much you can expect to pay for each of these.
The final price will depend on the complexity of the installation, the length of the gas pipe run, the types of materials we need to use, and so on. Sometimes we need to make certain modifications to the site in order to comply with the regulations. Obviously, this will affect the final price, which is why we can only give a range of pricing here.
So, we will always give you a final quotation in writing before we start any job. Because we follow this process, we have never had to ask client for more money than we quoted halfway through a job. We commit to sticking to our quotations for all new installations. OPTION 2: COST OF GAS INTALLATIONS FOR SINGLE CYLINDERS OUTSIDE
Installation of a single appliance powered by a single gas cylinder. The cylinder is located outside the house with a maximum of 5 meters of gas line. Many clients prefer this option over having a gas cylinder in the house.
Expect to pay between R3,500 and R5,500 for these installations.
OPTION 3: OUTDOOR TWIN CYLINDER INSTALLATION
The cost of gas installations for single appliances powered by twin cylinders with a change-over valve placed outside the house with a maximum of 5 meters of gas line required. Because of this, you will always have a back-up of one full cylinder, which you can change over to in a minute using the change-over valve.
These installations should cost between R4,500 and R6,000.
OPTION 4: BESPOKE INSTALLATIONS
We often do installations featuring multiple gas appliances powered by various cylinder configurations, which may include manifolds, high pressure / low pressure regulation and which may often require Fire Department approval. These installations will definitely need to be quoted for in detail based on the requirements. To help you plan, we will have to come and see the site and discuss your needs first.

OPTION 5: GAS GEYSER INSTALLATIONS
We are specialists in the installation of Gas Water Heaters (Geysers.) These are fairly complex installations, because they typically require plumbing word, gas work and sometimes also electrical work.
The cost of gas installations for simple gas geyser set-ups range between R3,000 and R9,000 depending on a number of factors.
