Cost estimates for the most common types of gas installations

The pricing below is indicative. We need to do a site inspection to check for a number of site specific factors before we can commit to a final cost. That is why it will always be necessary for us to see the site before committing to the final quotation.

We stick to the quotation we give you. We have never given a client a quotation and then asked for more money halfway through the installation - we know that there are operators out there who do this just to get the job, but this is highly unethical and these operators should be reported.
We believe that our clients need to be able to TRUST US.

OPTION 1: INDOOR INSTALLATION OF A GAS HOB AND 9KG GAS CYLINDER.

This is the cheapest gas installation and it usually involves placing the gas cylinder in a cupboard next to a gas hob or a free-standing gas stove.

Installation costs between R1,500 and R4,500.

OPTION 2: OUTDOOR SINGLE GAS CYLINDER INSTALLATION

Installation of a single appliance powered by a single gas cylinder placed outside the house with a maximum of 5 meters of gas line required. Many clients prefer this option over having a gas cylinder in the house.

Installation costs between R3,500 and R5,500.

OPTION 3: OUTDOOR TWIN CYLINDER INSTALLATION

Installation of a single appliance powered by twin cylinders with a change-over valve placed outside the house with a maximum of 5 meters of gas line required. This gives the benefit of always having a back-up of one full cylinder, which can be changed over in a minute using the change-over valve.

Installation costs between R4,500 and R6,000.

OPTION 4: BESPOKE INSTALLATIONS

Installation of multiple gas appliances powered by various cylinder configurations, which may include manifolds, high pressure / low pressure regulation and Fire Department approval.

We can assist with obtaining Fire Department Approval ans the proper Pipe Sizing Design to ensure that multi-appliance installations function as intended.

OPTION 5: GAS GEYSER INSTALLATIONS

We are specialists in the installation of Gas Water Heaters (Geysers.) These are fairly complex installations, because they typically require plumbing word, gas work and often also electrical work.

A simple Gas Geyser Installation can cost anything between R3,000 and R9,000 depending on a number of factors.

We offer free and comprehensive quotes for these installations. We can also refer good plumbers for sites where the plumbing is complicated.
